“What concerns me when I work, is not whether the picture is a landscape, or whether it's pastoral, or whether somebody will see a sunset in it. What concerns me is - did I make a beautiful picture?”

Helen Frankenthaler

Anne's photography delves into the nuanced interplay of light and shadow, crafting captivating 3-dimensional narratives through multiple-exposure techniques.

Quiet yet profound, her work reflects a rich catalogue of more than 40,000 images captured with her iPhone. Each image, from delicate flowers to rugged bark, serves as a brushstroke in her evolving art.

Raised amidst Oregon's high desert landscapes, her childhood immersed in nature fostered a deep-rooted creativity, later refined amidst the serene Oakland Hills. Influenced by her parents, one an architect and the other an interior designer, Anne learned the profound connection between heart and hands in creation.

Formally educated at the University of California Santa Cruz and the San Francisco Art Academy, Anne's passion for artistic expression deepened.

As a professional, selling artist for over a decade, Anne has  exhibited in more than 40 juried shows across the United States. Her work has been collected in homes ranging from San Sebastian, Spain to Rancho Santa Fe, California.

In addition to her art, Anne has navigated advertising and marketing careers and co-owned a commercial print brokering business with her husband, Ron.

Anne divides her time between home in Lafayette, California, and a summer cottage on Lake Superior’s shore, with Ron, daughter Alexandra, and their dogs Dewey and Isabelle.

Anne's art invites viewers into a world of quiet contemplation, where beauty lies in subtle whispers.
